Father & Son Camp 2012 – Mammoth Cave, KY
- Posted on Monday, February 20th, 2012
|September 16, 2012||to||September 22, 2012|
The ALERT Cadet National Father & Son Camp will focus on responding to the needs of Mammoth Cave National Park in the recovery of campsites, trails and walkways from the recent devastating ice and wind storms while we are enjoying the beautiful Green River Valley countryside. There will be time set aside for fathers and sons to spend time one-on-one with each other. There is a planned hike through some of the most beautiful woods of Central Kentucky including a visit to the vast and beautiful Mammoth Cave. We have scheduled a River Crossing event as well as a few sports activity times. We will follow the 2012 ALERT Cadet Camp theme, “Service” using I Samuel 17:58b, “And David answered, ‘I am the son of thy servant Jesse the Bethlehemite’” as our theme verse. In the morning we will have dynamic wisdom searches focusing on “The Production of Fruit” and speakers in the evening sharing life lessons on “Preservation of Fruit”. Perfect for the harvest season! We will be staying in a group tent campsite at the beautiful Mammoth Cave national Park located in the Central Kentucky hills.
The dates are September 16th thru the 22nd. We understand that some fathers and sons cannot spend all week away, and it is perfectly acceptable for you to come and go as you need. The schedule posted online details the events for each day. Pick which days you desire to be there!
The cost for the camp will be $295 per father and first son and only $95 per additional son. Hope to see you ALL there.
Tentative Schedule of Events – This has been updated to include Sunday thru Saturday.
