Many families have chain saws; their use can either be a boon to getting the wood ready for the winter or an accident waiting to happen. If you’d like to avoid the accident and be more productive with your chain saw, come join us. Maybe you do not have a chain saw yet, but are thinking about getting one and would like to learn how to handle it safely. Either way, the ALERT Cadet winter camp may be for you!

The North Central Regional Camp will be held at the Wilderness Fellowship Ministry in Frederic, Wisconsin from February 25-28, 2009 (Wednesday to Saturday).

Fathers and sons will learn practical sawyer (chain saw) skills to not only prepare wood for heating their own homes, but better equip them to serve in their communities when trees are damaged or uprooted by severe weather events.  We will have an opportunity to serve the Wilderness Fellowship and to practice sawyer skills through a service project to harvest firewood.

During our Bible study times we will discuss what it means to be a fruitful Christian man and learn practical tips to aid the disciple-making process.

Cost for the camp is $90 per person and covers all food, lodging, supplies, and a camp T-shirt.
