Thank you for your interest in forming an ALERT Cadet unit in your area.

The ALERT Cadet motto of “Strong to Overcome”, from 1 John 2:14, is the foundation of the program and the curriculum. It is also the desire of every father involved in the ALERT Cadet program for his own son(s). The ALERT Cadet program is a tool for fathers to use in winning and keeping the heart of their 8-17 year-old son(s). Our desire is to assist you in any way possible to accomplish this goal.

The following information and forms will assist you in starting a unit in your area.

* ALERT Cadet - Forming a New Unit (PDF, 183 KB), booklet, including interest and survey forms to assist you in planning your meetings
* Alert Cadet Brochure - This includes an application for the ALERT Cadet Basic Training Manual (PDF, 1.8 MB)

After at least three families have applied for and completed the ALERT Cadet Basic Training Manual, you may apply to form a unit by sending the following to ALERT Cadet Headquarters.

* Completed Membership Application for each family.
* Completed Uniform Order Form for each family.
* Registration fee of $110 per person which covers the cost of uniform, Journal, and Novice handbook.
* Completed Family Data Sheet for each family group.

* Completed Unit Roster listing all members of your unit with their contact information.

* Completed Squad Leader Application, to commission the unit leader as a 2nd Lieutenant. The unit leader must be an active registered family with the Advanced Training Institute International or sign a Statement of Faith and commit to ALERT Cadet Program Leadership Standards.

Upon receipt of the above, and approval by ALERT Cadet Headquarters, your uniforms, handbooks, leadership materials, and commissioning certificate will be sent to you.
