Community Service Opportunities

Service Projects in the Community

Whether a community is as small as 500 or as large as 5,000,000, there is no shortage of service opportunities within that community.
It is the privilege and responsibility of the local ALERT Cadet unit to offer to local authorities the unit’s readiness, willingness, and ability to serve.

Each unit is willing to serve routinely, with service such as picking up roadside trash, cleaning a city park, participating in a parade, performing a color guard, or directing traffic for city functions. Units that have specialized skills, such as Crisis Response Training, or sawyer skills may have additional opportunities to serve.

An ALERT Cadet’s purpose is to serve authorities, thereby honoring God.
