National / Regional Camps
The theme for our 2008 camps is to discover what the Bible says a real man of God looks and behaves like. We will explore the transition from being a boy to becoming a man. Included will be plenty of hands-on activities and fun for fathers and sons to create memories together.
Registration and Medical Release forms are required for each camp. They are available for download here.
Detailed schedules, as they are finalized, and packing lists specific to each camp are available for download here.
Fees include all meals and camp-related supplies, except as noted.
Be sure to check the packing list on the website for the gear you will need to bring to each camp!
To participate in the 2008 ALERT Cadet Camps, you must:

· Become a member of the ALERT Cadet program by completing the membership paperwork, paying the membership fees, and ordering your uniform.
· Be at least 13 years old, and an ALERT Cadet LTC, or an LTC’s father, to participate in the Leadership Training Corps Camps.

We plan to hike through some of the most beautiful woods of northern Georgia. On the hike we’ll visit an 855-foot-long wall constructed on the top of the mountain as a Civil War fortification.
Our morning wisdom searches will focus on “The Production of Fruit” in our lives and in the lives of others. Our evening speakers will share life lessons on “The Preservation of Fruit” as well as “How to Finish Life Well.”
We will be staying in self-provided tents at the beautiful Fort Mountain State Park. All food is provided, and all activity fees are included in the camp cost of $195 per father and first son. Additional sons are only $50 each.
ALERT Cadet Captain Gary Reckner is the camp organizer. For more information and camp specifics, you may contact him at 270-835-7331 or by e-mail at recknerfamily@gmail.com.
