Organization & Finances
The ALERT Cadet program is based on the commands of Scripture and the universal need for boys to become young men of godly character. To this end, the headquarters and field staff of the ALERT Cadet program continually consider the changing needs of fathers and sons and seek to create materials, sponsor activities, and provide counseling as appropriate to strengthen the father/son bond.
The ALERT Cadet program is funded through the fees paid by fathers and sons upon joining the program and by the receipts from the sponsoring of camps and other activities. Uniforms, handbooks, and other ALERT Cadet logo items also provide limited income to offset fixed costs of administering the program. Donations are also accepted and routinely used to provide scholarship money for those fathers and sons who may not be able to afford certain costs or fees.
