Do good this summer. 🍃
“As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6:10‬ ‭
Happy Independence Day weekend! “May all of you as Americans never forget your heroic origins, never fail to seek divine guidance, and never lose your natural, God-given optimism.” Ronald Reagan🇺🇸
Thank you fathers! “Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭127:4‬ ‬‬

Thank you fathers for your dedication to your sons and daughters, the much needed next generation of mighty servants of Christ!
It’s always a good time. Flashback to Memorial Day weekend and the Father and Son camp in NH. Together these men prayed and studied the Word, they also split and hauled fire wood, cooked over a campfire, drilled and shot bows(they made) and arrows.
All gave some, some gave all.
Strong to overcome.
“For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Honoring Cadet 1st Class Lowman who quoted in one sitting Psalms 92 and 139, Proverbs 3. Strong to overcome!
Our annual New England Father and Son Service Camp will again be held at Fairwood Bible Institute (fairwoodbible.org) in Dublin, New Hampshire, on the north side of Mt. Monadnock. As usual, it will be held on the three days preceding Memorial Day, May 27-30.
Our world seems dominated by an overwhelming sense of “lostness” - truth has little value, right is called wrong and there are a multitude of paths leading in all the wrong directions. This isn’t the first time in history cultures have turned their backs on God and suffered the harsh consequences. Our current spiritual climate mirrors many stories in the Old Testament and it is deeply saddening to watch it happen.  Hope may be hard to come by for us Christians as we wonder if the people of the world will ever find their way back to God.
There is HOPE!  It is found in Way, the Truth and the Life – Jesus Christ. God’s ways are the only good ways where we can fulfill our purpose to bring Him honor and glory.  I believe a message we need to hear and answer is the same message God sent through Jeremiah during a national rejection of God: “Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls…” (Jeremiah 6:16a).   Only in God’s paths will we find answers, direction and hope.  (See II Chronicles 14-15 and 34-35)
My challenge for all of us during the world's massive migration away from God, is to stand, ask God for the old paths, where there is the good way, and walk in them.  Let’s diligently continue to build on the foundation of God’s word and the Cornerstone of His Kingdom, training our sons and daughters to know and walk in the truth, joy and blessings of God’s word.  Then the world will see and know the one true and living God, and His Son Jesus Christ.
“O LORD, You are my God. I will exalt You, I will praise Your name, For You have done wonderful things; Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭25:1‬
Walking in His ways brings us to where He wants us to be.

“Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.”
Jeremiah 6:16 KJV
We have hope for the future, the light still shines; Jesus died, rose again and now sits with the Father. Now to pass that on to the younger generation and share with the world. Happy Easter! He is Risen!

“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

@alertcadet

The ALERT Cadet program has helped me build a strong spiritual foundation, taught me important life skills, brought me closer to my father and impacted me for a lifetime.

Zephaniah Putnam, Texas

I have learned as a result of our involvement in ALERT Cadet that service to others can kill a critical spirit and eliminate selfishness: and I am learning that time spent with my sons has everlasting value. These times of service and fun have built many fond memories, knit hearts, and assisted in character development.

Tod Stoner, Tennessee

Leading in ALERT Cadet has pushed me out of my "comfort zone" and into the "trust God zone." My walk with the LORD has deepened as I learn to rely on Him.
